likes of Layo & Bushwacka and Roger Sanchez.
James then had the opportunity to play at many small parties in Bournemouth and Southampton, which has allowed his love and passion for dj'ing to develop further.
Around this time he heard Yousef play on Radio 1, this opened the door to the raw, jacking house sound of Chicago. Since then James' sound has developed into a jacking mix of House and Techno, taking on influences and inspiration from Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Johnny Fiasco, Mark Farina and Yousef.
Not only a dj, he's an avid record collector and this shows in his sets that contain underground classics that never age, as well as upfront gems that suit his funk-fuelled sound.
You'll be seeing a lot more of James behind the Electric Playground decks in 2006! |
